WORKSHOP TALKS
The idea comes while speaking
Kleist
(On the gradual formation of thoughts while speaking)
The gradual creation of thoughts while talking and the gradual creation of things while making them is a perfect combination and an invitation to discuss important matters, get to know ourselves and others, and touch and understand earthly things with our hands and minds. It is also about togetherness and sharing experiences and time.
The workshop talks - a combination of artist talk/lecture and workshop - take place at the interface between art, craft and society. With changing focal points, artistic ideas and craft methods are presented, which can be discussed and explored during participation. We make references to strategies of artistic creation, to contemporary positions in art and to art history. We invite guests to provide insights into special topics such as authorship in art, fibers and textiles as artistic materials, quilting, embroidery in art, color in painting and textile art.
Please note: The workshop talks are an experimental introduction to various topics - and not workshops.
The aim of the workshop talks is to facilitate access to different art forms and artistic positions in a communicative and playful way - they are deliberately not geared towards concrete results, but rather an invitation to participate.
